Hello,
I have a Samsung Galaxy SII that I would like to extract data from… The issue is when connecting to a computer and trying to take a physical dump I am unable to do so as I cannot put the phone into 'USB mode'..
Does anybody have any ideas of how to get around this? It doesn't have to be a forensically sound procedure, as it isn't for evidence or a client…
Any ideas would be great!
Regards,
Anthony
UFED Physical (hardware device) works for a full extraction.
You do need the power-on cable from cellebrite though.
Thanks for your reply, will look into it… The device won't need to be in 'USB' mode? I know XRY requires this.
randomaccess.
UFED and UFED Touch use an advanced method that bypass locked Galaxy SII (i9100) and allows physical extraction without the need for USB Debugging to be enabled.
There are many more Android models that can be extracted with UFED and UFED Touch using that method and we are constantly working to add more such methods. Galaxy S3 is one of them and will be available very soon with a similar method.
This is a unique development by Cellebrite that is not available in any other tool.
