I am attempting to image a Mio Digiwalker C220 (without memory card), it powers on as normal, but I am unable to achieve a connection to my acquisition computer. Has anyone got any experience with this one?

Do you have ActiveSync installed on your examination machine? I think this particular model uses Windows Mobile / CE as it's core operating system, and as such you will need ActiveSync to access data on the internal memory.
I have also found that write blockers can cause problems when trying to access data on certain devices.
