Looking for advice from the forensics community for tools used to enhance videos. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ocean Systems dTective package is a set of advanced plug-ins for the Avid platform and Photoshop application. Several solutions.

Signalscape Starwitness has solutions for capturing video and enhancing video/audio through filter chains. Then uses Sony Vegas or other commercial editing software for output.

These two are the ones I have used in the past.

Some video players like VLC can do some realtime pre-processing of videos.

Some of it is even useful (and not just "a cool feature") like gamma adjustment, sharpening, colour extraction, gradients etc.

You need an application that is able to deal with standard and proprietary video and images…
You need an application that is able to analyze and report on the data, allowing you to understand the encoding and data structure.
You need an application that follows a scientific methodology to restore and enhance images and video.
You need an application that can visually present your work, and report on all the actions taken.

OK, you may think I'm biased…. I am the Amped International trainer after all…. BUT - When I was looking for an application to use… There was only one answer..
