Hello,
I have a HP storage server running Windows 2003 Storage Server with 6 - 250GB HD's running a raid 5.
I imaged the Server using a EnCase Boot disk via Crossover
There where three volumes
Disk0 was 30GB
Disk1 was 5 GB
Disk2 was 1.1 TB
Problem
I am trying to boot the server up into VMware.
I am using Mount image pro to mount the E01 files (I mounted all three of the disks)
I then use Live-view to prepare to boot the 30 GB volume. (only volume seen by LV)
I put in the time imaged and the ram size. The image boots and I receive this error.
The server you are running cannot run HP Proliant NAS software properly. you may be in violation of your license agreement. Please contact HP support immediately if you think this message is displayed in error. The server will shut down in one minute.
The server shuts down in one minute.
I tried only mounting the 30 GB volume and I still receive the error message.
I am able to see each volume in Encase. When I mount the volumes I am able to browse through the folders…
Any help would be great thanks
John

Can you use F8 to force it into safe mode or failing that edit boot.ini to add the /safeboot flag
Sandy771 it does the same thing when I boot to Safe mode..
I will try to see if I can make it in time to alter the boot.in.
You maybe able to run this VM on original HP hardware if you set
SMBIOS.reflectHost = "True"
in the VMware vmx-file.
