Hi! I would like to ask which folder will I be able to find contacts of MS Outlook? I found some email in the 'Contact' folder under the user account folder, but I wonder if there's other places? Like in registry?

Thank you!! I just started studying computer forensic so I am having such a hard time find all these things!!!

Are you asking where in the PST or OST file the Contact folder resides? Or is the file where that folder resides the answer?

MS Outlook uses a PST or OST file to store all information.

I am guessing you are seeing Windows Mail in Vista.

This can be cross-referenced by reading the Value "{56784854-C6CB-462B-8169-88E350ACB882}" under the "User Shell Folders" key (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\UserShell Folders).

{56784854-C6CB-462B-8169-88E350ACB882} is the folder ID for Contacts.
