I don't know how the chat history and contacts can be extracted from WLM from evidence hard disk.

Look into forensicbox. You can email him [email protected] He has a free tool that does what your after.

Unless your suspect has turned message archiving back on you won't get any chat.
the default setting for WLM is not to store chat and it is encrypted anyway.
forensicbox is cool and will pull back the contacts
