Hello all,
Yahoo has disabled the ability to generate 3rd party application specific passwords, which has broken the ability to use Magnet Forensics Axiom or Fookes' Software's Aid4Mail to collect Yahoo email.
We found a work around:Â Mozilla Thunderbird does not require a third-party password to download Yahoo mail, Thunderbird only requires the normal user password.
Thunderbird downloads Yahoo mail in the form of MSF files.
Aid4Mail Forensic Edition is able to convert MSF files into Outlook PST files, which is the format most electronic discovery tools require. Aid4Mail also generates a log of activities recording the number of emails successfully converted to PST format.
