Belkasoft Publishes Q1 2013 Roadmap, Announces New and Updated Forensic Tools

During the first quarter of 2013, Belkasoft plans several incremental updates to its major forensic suite, Belkasoft Evidence Center. The updates will feature a new core engine, bringing much greater performance to users of last-generation multi-core CPU’s. Introducing multi-tasking and background computing, Belkasoft Evidence Center will reduce waiting times by allowing the investigator to analyze already discovered evidence and interact with the tool while evidence is being collected by one or more background processes (which may be a lengthy process depending on the size of the disk being analyzed).

Belkasoft publishes product update roadmap for Q1, 2013, announcing upcoming changes to its range of forensic tools. The published roadmap provides a comprehensive outline of the new features to become available during the first quarter of 2013. In the course of the planned update, Belkasoft will add the ability to take volatile memory snapshots with a stand-alone tool, deliver the ability to share collected evidence between investigators at no charge, and introduce a free stand-alone tool for extracting information from public Facebook profiles.

Scheduled Updates to Belkasoft’s Forensic Suite

During the first quarter of 2013, Belkasoft plans several incremental updates to its major forensic suite, Belkasoft Evidence Center. The updates will feature a new core engine, bringing much greater performance to users of last-generation multi-core CPU’s. Introducing multi-tasking and background computing, Belkasoft Evidence Center will reduce waiting times by allowing the investigator analyzing already discovered evidence and interacting with the tool while evidence is being collected by one or more background processes (which may be a lengthy process depending on the size of the disk being analyzed). Several popular local instant messengers will be supported.

A major release is planned at the end of the quarter. The new release will feature flexible customizations of the tool’s look and behavior, introduce the ability to add custom extensions, and include a new Evidence Reader application to allow sharing collected evidence between investigators at no extra charge. Licensing terms will be updated to reflect the ability of evidence sharing with no extra licensing fees.

These snapshots can be analyzed by using the Live RAM Analysis feature of Belkasoft Evidence Center. The new tool will be available to all new customers and existing clients who purchased Belkasoft Evidence Center with a non-expired support and maintenance plan.

Belkasoft Facebook Profile Saver will offer the ability to capture information from public Facebook profiles. The tool will be available as a separate download at no charge.

Finally, Belkasoft Evidence Reader will offer the ability to share collected evidence between investigators at no extra charge. Similar to Belkasoft Live RAM Capturer, this tool will be available to all new customers and existing clients who purchased Belkasoft Evidence Center with a non-expired support and maintenance plan.
