“When we work a case, we are actually part of a world-wide network of computer forensic experts,” Crouse explained. “There are thousands of other investigators who can help us and we help them, too.” He described this network of experts as being like a “large electronic conference. We get cases coming in on our e-mail, asking us for help. In this day and age, even the FBI can’t do everything. There’s a limit to how much one person can know about computers.
