Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., has secured a federal grant to help a local college and Vermont police fight identity theft and other crimes committed through computers, the Internet and digital technology. The $650,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice will strengthen Champlain College’s digital forensics program and the capacity of police to investigate cybercrimes.
