Guidance Software Ranked #1 in E-Discovery Software Buyer’s Guide

Guidance Software Inc. has announced that its EnCase(R) eDiscovery software was ranked #1 out of more than 20 vendors in the inaugural DCIG E-Discovery Early Case Assessment (ECA) Buyer’s Guide. For the Buyer’s Guide, DCIG looked at more than 60 key features of more than 25 ECA software products from more than 20 leading companies. DCIG then analyzed these features to evaluate, weigh, score and then rank each product. Guidance Software EnCase eDiscovery was rated #1 overall, earning the “Recommended” ranking from DCIG…”EnCase eDiscovery provides complete, end-to-end e-discovery capabilities that enable our customers to make better, faster case strategy decisions,” said Victor Limongelli, President and CEO of Guidance Software. “It is an honor to have EnCase eDiscovery ranked as the #1 product in the inaugural DCIG E-Discovery Buyer’s Guide.”

The Guidance e-discovery software provides complete e-discovery functionality, ranging from legal hold and collection through review and production and applies defensible standardization, repeatability and workflow to litigation, regulatory response and internal investigations. The software enables legal teams to conduct early and continuous case assessment at any point in the e-discovery process so they can obtain necessary facts and evidence to better understand and assess case merits, risk, and cost.

EnCase eDiscovery has consistently been independently ranked as the leading E-Discovery software. In addition to the DCIG Buyer’s Guide, Gartner Inc. recently positioned Guidance Software in the “Leaders” quadrant of its 2012 Magic Quadrant for E-Discovery Software report, a position Guidance also achieved in Gartner’s 2011 Magic Quadrant for E-Discovery Software. Industry analyst firm IDC also identified Guidance Software as a leader in ECA in its report, the “IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Standalone Early Case Assessment Applications 2011 Vendor Analysis.”
