Good afternoon all. I am looking at different training for the tools that we use. In regards to training from Magnet Forensics, has anyone within the last year or two taken any of their courses? Do they teach not only the tool, but also do they cover what is "going on" under the hood? How the artifacts got there, where they come from, what they mean, etc?
I just took their AX200 course. They do talk a little bit about what some things like Windows artifacts are such as prefetch, lnk files, etc.
@jadams951 thank you for the feedback. As far as teaching the artifacts vs. teaching the tool, how was the time split? 50/50, 30/70, etc?
The training is geared on how to use and understand Axiom. I'd say 75-80% about Axiom with artifacts mixed in.
