Hello everybody,

I am writing you as my last place of hope.
On a case we have been working for month we finally seized some mobile phones of the suspects.

One is a Galaxy S9 with secure start up enabled. The suspect won't provide the password.
We have been listening to his phone calls for a while and we know the phone is also running android pie (because he complained on the phone after the update OS now looks like "some cheap s**t" D ).

We have been in contact with the member "passcode unlock" by email already, evaluating our chances. (Thank you a lot btw). Unfortunately it didnt give me much hope.

So, no offence to the great work of passcode unlock, but we wanted to hear some more opinions bevor giving the phone another try to open it.

So far I had used Cellebrite UFED and oxygen (all up to date), but didnt have any luck.

Can you think of any solution we might get into the phone? Have there been any success with Galaxy S9 so far?

Thank you a lot

All the best

I would be also interested if anybody knows other way then brute force for bypassing the secure startup on the S9 (or other modern Android devices).

Please contact Cellebrite Advances Services.
Be prepared to submit a duly issued warrant which will be reviewed and approved prior to the case being accepted for processing.

So you had some success already? then i would be willing to give it a try. warrant can be provided but has to be requested first and usually is some paperwork plus requesting budget etc…
so trying to evaluate my chances here. can you give me more input?

He is one of the top "nutcrackers" at Cellebrite. If he says to Contact CAS with a warrant then they HAVE a solution…!

Try contacting Cellebrite first as they will always be able to confirm if they have a solution.
