  • Setting a single person government lab for criminal investigations.
  • Looking for advice about NAS enclosures and HDD recommendations for 'intermediate' storage locally.
  •  What brand/model of spinning disks would you recommend and why?
  • ROI is cost consideration, looking like 7,200 RPM drives are sweet spot. 

Please provide any other advice related to this topic.

Imaged data and reports will be stored locally for a period of time before getting moved to long term storage using the storge options that get dictated by agency ITS staff.

Selecting a Synology NAS is probably the most predictable way of going.
