Hey all,
I'm currently working as a security consultant and one of the products we supply is called Veriato Investigator.
I'd like to ask anyone in the industry if they have actually used it? I come from a forensics background and the sales team usually say that Veriato is primarily a forensic tool………except i've never heard of it nor has anyone i know in forensics.
I can't really understand how this can be used as a forensic tool since we're supposed to work on the original data (after imaging) and this clearly doesn't, it's even won an award "Best Computer Forensics Solution in SC".
And as i rely on the knowledge of the members of this site to further my forensic training, i thought i'd ask, if it's actually useful for forensics then i will want to know the software inside and out.
Thanks everyone!
I've never heard of it.
I've never seen SC rate anything less than five stars.

You may want to ask if people have heard of SpectorSoft, eBlaster, etc. I suspect their products (at least previous incarnations) are more well-known in our community in terms of uncovering their presence on victims computers.
With that said, in years past we have had a positive experience with their corporate products. Back then, we would have quantified their tools more like DLP solutions than digital forensics solutions.
