Magnet Forensics Kicks Off Magnet Virtual Summit 2025

Magnet Forensics, a global leader in digital investigation solutions, is excited to announce the return of its highly anticipated Magnet Virtual Summit, a complimentary event taking place from February 10-14, that brings together digital forensics and incident response professionals from around the world.

Now in its fifth consecutive year, Magnet Virtual Summit 2025 provides informative insights on key industry trends and challenges and continues to be a tremendous resource for its over 6,000 global attendees—including examiners in the public & private sector, investigators, police leaders, prosecutors, service providers, and more.

Dozens of sessions, hosted in multiple languages, will be led by 60+ industry experts from leading organizations around the world, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Salesforce. Sessions cover critical challenges such as generative AI, synthetic media detection, mobile forensics, and ransomware, as well as investigative best practices for a variety of use cases, including child exploitation, cybercrime, corporate investigations, incident response, and more.

“This year’s Magnet Virtual Summit promises to be our most impactful yet,” said David Miles, President of Magnet Forensics. “We are honored to once again provide an opportunity for our dedicated and passionate community to easily come together, learn from one another, and advance the critical work of digital investigations.”

Magnet Forensics is also welcoming two special keynote speakers for Magnet Virtual Summit: DFIR expert & DFIR Training owner, Brett Shavers, and former federal prosecutor, Kevin Mulcahy, who will share his own personal story as a survivor of child sexual abuse, to help provide guidance to those involved in CSAM investigations.

Additionally, Magnet Virtual Summit will offer a Capture The Flag (CTF) competition—one that has been praised, emulated, and shared within the community for several years. The CTF competition offers hundreds of virtual attendees the opportunity to solve realistic digital investigation challenges in a friendly yet intense competition, that always showcases the ingenuity and creativity of its participants.
