Digital Forensic Analyst II

The Role

This position involves the full lifecycle of digital evidence handling, from collection at crime scenes through preservation, analysis, and disclosure. The analyst prepares reports and disclosure packages for Crown Counsel, provides expert court testimony, develops forensic policies, maintains specialist hardware and software, and trains police personnel on digital evidence matters.

Skills & Experience

Candidates require a two-year diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Forensics, or a related Audio/Video discipline. Key competencies include forensic video analysis, facial comparison, encrypted and damaged media recovery, and familiarity with industry-standard forensic tools, legislative requirements, and established forensic best practices.
