Computer Forensic Examiner, Computer Crimes

The Role

This position involves conducting computer forensic examinations and supporting criminal investigations into offences including child exploitation, identity theft, computer fraud, and computer trespass. The examiner collaborates with federal, state, and local law enforcement, engages with technology professionals, and presents to public and professional groups on internet and computer crime issues.

Skills & Experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills and solid computer proficiency are essential. At least one year of law enforcement experience in computer forensics or criminal investigations, particularly involving computer crime or child exploitation, is preferred. Relevant academic coursework in digital forensics may also be considered in lieu of experience.
