The Role

The postholder plans and conducts the CAARS research project, developing novel forensic methods for vehicle infotainment systems — including circumventing security features and forensic documentation. Responsibilities include coordinating with project partners, validating methods, preparing publications, presenting results at conferences, and fulfilling reporting obligations.

Skills & Experience

A Master’s or equivalent degree in a STEM discipline (e.g. electrical engineering, computer science, IT security) is required, with a focus on embedded or automotive security or reverse engineering. Deep expertise in software/static reverse engineering at machine-code level, IoT or mobile systems, C/C++ programming, and Linux/Android is expected.
