The Role
Supports a federal security operations centre by conducting supervised endpoint and network forensic analysis for insider threat, malware and data loss investigations. Duties include imaging, static and dynamic file analysis, maintaining lab equipment, and documenting findings in case notes and draft reports.
Skills & Experience
Requires knowledge of TCP/IP and security methodologies, programming proficiency, and familiarity with open-source forensic and reverse engineering tools. Exposure to FTK, EnCase or Cellebrite, scripting ability, and certifications such as Security+ or GSEC are advantageous.
