What the title says, I had some files on the Smart Folder app of my Galaxy S10 plus, and was actually in the process of backing up such folder while Murphy's law kicked me where it hurts and the phone proceeded to factory reset itself. Now all files OUTSIDE the smart folder directory were already safely backed up. So I'm now stuck with a 70+ Gb of unaccesible, encrypted data sitting in the my SD's space.
Is there a way to recover those Gb of data?
Unfortunelly after factory reset in case of this phone nothing can be done
This is why mobile phones better be equipped with removable expandable storage.

For clarification, do you mean the MicroSD card, or are you mistakenly referring to internal storage?
Since long ago, Android OS has one of several mountpoints to the shared internal user storage located at "/sdcard/" for compatibility, though I don't know the exact story, but that's what I read somewhere, possibly on Android.StackExchange.com or XDA developers.
Other mountpoints may include /storage/emulated/0/ and /storage/emulated/legacy/ .
The Galaxy S10 uses FBE (File Based Encryption) as opposed to FDE (Full Disk Encryption). This means that each file on the device is encrypted and needs a decryption key to open the file. These keys are accessed whenever you unlock your phone. When your phone resets, the files are deleted (in their encrypted state) along with the decryption keys associated with said files. Unfortunately, your files are deleted and there isn't much of a chance for recovery. 🙁
