Hey,
I am relatively inexperienced when it comes to working with forensic tools. Currently I am processing an image in Axiom, this image was created from a 1TB hard drive.
Currently it is in the process "Unallocated Clusters". At 4.8% but has been running for a day and 17 hours.

Now my questions:

  • What exactly is it doing?
  • Are such long runtimes normal?
  • Is there something wrong with my image?
  • Should I stop the process?

Thanks a lot for your answers and help 🙂

Greetings,

aehm

No idea what the software is doing here. Ask the developers.
Anyway, this is broken. Parsing "unallocated clusters" should go relatively fast, therefore is killing the process a logical option if you ask me.

@bunnysniper thanks for the answer. Yea, I already thought about a broken process. I will kill it and start again, probably I had some "strange" artifact settings. Gonna look into this before I start the process now.
