The Role

This position supports criminal investigations within a law enforcement forensics unit, handling the acquisition, preservation, and analysis of digital evidence from computers, mobile devices, and storage media. Responsibilities include preparing technical reports, maintaining chain of custody, attending scenes, and supporting court testimony preparation.

Skills & Experience

Candidates need an Associate’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, or a related field, along with at least one certification such as ACE, CCPA, or CompTIA A+/Network+. Proficiency with tools including FTK, X-Ways, Axiom, or PRTK is expected, alongside solid knowledge of Windows, Linux, and common file systems.
