The Role

This onsite position supports federal criminal investigations by examining computers, mobile devices, and storage media for digital evidence. Day-to-day work includes forensic analysis, data recovery, evidence preservation, and producing detailed reports suitable for courtroom use, with the possibility of testifying as an expert witness in federal or military proceedings.

Skills & Experience

Candidates require a relevant degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field, plus substantial hands-on experience with forensic tools and techniques covering password cracking, steganography detection, deleted data recovery, e-discovery, and chain-of-custody procedures. An active Secret security clearance is required at minimum.
