Reviewing every image, recording and call log by hand doesn’t scale. The detail that links a suspect to an event is often buried in a photo, a voice message or a deleted call.
MD-RED v4, GMDSOFT’s mobile forensic solution, is built for this workload. This video walks through four stages of the analysis workflow:
- AI-Based Analysis: Detects more than 80 object types, including guns, vehicles and people, and groups detected faces by person. OCR turns text in documents and screenshots into searchable text, and STT (Speech-to-Text) does the same for voice recordings and video audio. Every result is flagged for review, and the investigator makes the final determination.
- Malware Scanning: Scans APK files and flags malicious apps based on YARA rules. Manual tags refine the results further.
- CDR Analysis: Loads call detail records (CDR) from service providers and maps key columns through a template editor. Correlating CDR with device data makes it possible to analyze call records that were deleted from the phone.
- PC Messenger Analysis: Analyzes PC messenger data collected with MD-PCM, from global apps such as WhatsApp and WeChat to messengers widely used in specific regions. This supports corporate audits, investigations and incident response.
