The Role

The position sits within a dedicated forensics competency unit at a federal financial supervisory authority. Day-to-day work involves planning and executing short-notice IT forensic examinations at regulated firms, recovering and analysing digital artefacts, and contributing to the preparation of legally defensible investigation reports. Collaboration with prosecutors and auditors is also expected.

Skills & Experience

Candidates must hold at least two years of IT forensics experience and relevant formal training. Familiarity with common operating systems, file systems, networks and databases is required. Experience with forensic tools such as X-Ways, EnCase and Nuix, as well as eDiscovery platforms, is desirable. A background in law enforcement or a forensic audit firm is advantageous.
