Digital Forensics Examiner, Integrated Forensic Service

The Role

The examiner supports criminal investigations by conducting forensic seizures and examinations of digital devices to extract electronic evidence. Day-to-day work involves analysing data across multiple operating systems, networks and internet platforms, staying current with emerging forensic trends, and devising strategies to strengthen investigative capabilities.

Skills & Experience

A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required. An interest in electronic hardware, coding or scripting, and cloud technologies is advantageous. Strong analytical and communication skills are expected, and all appointees receive relevant on-the-job training.
