Digital Media Examiner – Counter Terrorism Policing

The Role

This position involves the forensic acquisition, examination, and analysis of digital devices to support counter terrorism investigations at regional, national, and international levels. Examiners produce evidence packages, witness statements, and appear in court, while also contributing to quality assurance within an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory environment.

Skills & Experience

Candidates should possess practical digital forensics examination skills and familiarity with specialist forensic tools and software. Experience working within an accredited forensic laboratory, understanding of ISO 17025 and the Forensic Science Regulator’s Code of Practice, and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to legal and non-technical audiences are all essential.
