Adroit Photo Forensics 2013: Faster, More Accurate Photo Evidence Recovery

Digital Assembly has updated Adroit Photo Forensics 2013 to version 3.0b. This update has greatly improved both the accuracy and speed of our patented SmartCarving™ algorithm. SmartCarving™ recovers fragmented photo evidence that no other product can recover. In addition, we have improved the recovery of TIFF, BMP and RAW photo evidence. Additional improvements have also occurred further improving your ability to recover unique photo evidence.

With multiple carving algorithms that are optimized for different image formats, Adroit Photo Forensics 2013 provides better and faster photo evidence recovery than earlier versions. Photo Evidence Recovery Improvements
With version 3.0b Adroit Photo Forensics, already improves its best in class photo evidence recovery with improvements to both the accuracy and speed of “LogCarving”, “Sequential Carving” and “SmartCarving”. In addition, we have greatly improved the recovery of BMP, TIFF and RAW files by adding a new carver called the “Size Carver”.

Network Hash DB Support
Adroit Photo Forensics 2013 now allows the use of a shared network hash database to store MD5 hash and SmartHash for images. These hashes can be used to set images in either alert or ignore modes. In addition categories can also be stored as part of the alert database.

Photo Processing Support
Adroit Photo Forensics 2013 has added an additional “Image Ops” tab in the forensic Photo Viewer. In this tab an investigator can rotate, zoom, and change the brightness or contrast of an image. In addition, the modified image can be saved.

Enhanced GUI
With the latest version, the GUI now is able to better render GIF, BMP and TIFF files. Displaying photos in the Photo Viewer is now faster.

Other Features

Adroit Photo Forensics contains a large number of photo forensic features that are not present in any other product. Some of these include:

• Unique Timeline generation by EXIF DateTime, File System Create, Access, and Modify times.
• An extremely powerful Forensic Photo Gallery allowing photos to be grouped/sorted/filtered by photo specific features like Camera, Software, Resolution, EXIF Date etc.
• Thumbnail-Mismatch Detection to identify and highlight photos that do not match with their embedded thumbnails.
