Web Historian assists users in reviewing websites (URLs) that are stored in the history files of the most commonly used browsers including: Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Firefox, Netscape, Opera and Safari. MANDIANT Web Historian is designed primarily as a tool for computer forensic examiners; however, it is simple, intuitive and quite useful for any person who simply wants to review the browser history files on any given system. The latest release, version 1.3, adds support for Firefox versions 1.5 and 2.0, and Internet Explorer version 7…Web Historian allows a user to determine what websites have been visited, what web-based email systems have been accessed, and if a system has connected to an unauthorized website. “Due to the incredible response to the initial release, we decided to continue supporting the product with upgrades for modern browsers.
