Hi everyone,

As many of you know I've recently made a start on building the new education section at Forensic Focus (hopefully bringing it online later this month) with the aim of listing every computer forensics university and college course worldwide.

I'd like to ask for your help in making sure I don't miss out any relevant institutions. The following is a list of the places currently on my master list - if you know of any place not listed below (and I'm sure there are many of them) I'd be grateful if you could either post a reply to this thread or email me with the details on admin @ forensicfocus.com. If you're able to provide a contact email address for a member of the teaching staff that would be great too (obviously if you yourself are a member of staff please don't hesitate to get in touch!)

Hi Jamie,

following your question, I have something to share Smile

It’s referred to education in other languages, i.e. Spanish and / or Catalan.

Here you can find the link with several schools and universities. Some of them are also e-learning.

Hello Jamie,

This one isn't on your list yet, and it's quite a good one (I enjoyed it a lot)

Montreal, Canada

The Ecole Polytechnique, University of Montreal's Engineering school, offers a certificate in "Cyberenquête", i.e. computer crime investigation. It's in French, but some people might still be interested.

www.polymtl.ca/etudes/.../cyber.php

One of my friends just graduated from it. He said the courses covered a good mix of criminology, law, IT, and other materials. Going through the courses I found that it looked little weak on the IT and the forensic skills training side. If you're getting EnCase, FTK, and other training on the side that probably wouldn't be an issue. You could presumably also add IT courses from the university to your course load as well in order to make up for that.

Anyway, just thought I might throw it out to you.

BTW, Jamie, you are doing a great job on this site. I find it extremely useful with many insightful articles. Please keep up the good work, and if I can contribute in any way, I am more than eager to assist.

PS. I recently completed my Honours in Computer Forensic at University of Cape Town. UCT offered the Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Forensics since last year, and I was one of the first students to enroll.
