Computer forensics software vendor Belkasoft announced today that it has recovered the new QQ messenger history format. Tencent QQ is the most popular Instant Messenger globally with user base about 1 billion of people and is very widely used in China…Since QQ 2008, which history format was recovered quite quickly by Chinese individuals, two new versions of QQ were released, QQ 2009 and QQ 2010. "This was not easy job," says Yuri Gubanov, owner and CEO at Belkasoft. "We spent about half year trying to understand their very cryptic history format. Thanks to our best security specialist Konstantin Stepanenko, responsible for this task, it was successfully completed. Our respect to Tencent developers who made their new messenger probably the most secure in the world."
