Head of Incident Response & DFIR | Founding Leadership Role
Up Security (Formerly Wake-up Cyber)
Israel
The Role
This hands-on leadership position requires building a cyber response practice from the ground up. Day-to-day responsibilities span leading complex incidents end-to-end, conducting digital forensic investigations, performing threat hunting and compromise assessments, and working directly with CISOs and executive stakeholders during critical situations.
Skills & Experience
Candidates need proven hands-on IR and DFIR experience, strong knowledge of attacker TTPs and MITRE ATT&CK, and familiarity with EDR, SIEM and enterprise environments. Experience across Windows, Active Directory, Entra ID, cloud and identity-based attacks is expected. IR consulting, CERT/CSIRT background, malware analysis and scripting are advantageous.
Who It Suits
This role suits a senior DFIR or IR professional with a builder mindset who wants ownership and mandate rather than an inherited team. Someone ready to shape methodology, recruit talent, and turn a new capability into a significant business function within a growing cybersecurity services firm.
