Digital Forensics Investigator/Sheriff

The Role
This position serves as the primary digital evidence specialist for a county sheriff’s office, conducting forensic examinations of computers, mobile devices, storage media, and cloud data. The investigator prepares expert reports, maintains chain of custody, assists with warrants, testifies in court, and supports detectives and partner agencies throughout criminal investigations.
Skills & Experience
Candidates should have hands-on experience with industry-standard forensic platforms including Magnet AXIOM, Cellebrite UFED and Physical Analyzer, and EnCase, as well as hardware write-blockers. The ability to draft legally sound documentation, testify as an expert witness, and apply forensically sound acquisition methodology is essential to this role.
