The Role

The examiner conducts forensic analysis of electronic devices and digital media in support of criminal investigations, handling evidence from intake through examination. Day-to-day duties include recovering deleted files, analysing encrypted or hidden data, assisting at field collection scenes, maintaining forensic infrastructure, and preparing reports for court testimony.

Skills & Experience

Candidates require at least one year of professional experience in digital evidence analysis, supported by a degree in digital forensics, computer science, or a related IT discipline. Required certifications include Certified Video Technician Levels 1 and 2, CLEAN certification, and CJIS compliance. A valid motor vehicle licence is also mandatory.
