Senior DFIR Specialist
Malleum
Ottawa, Ontario
The Role
This hands-on consulting position involves leading and delivering digital forensics and incident response engagements across enterprise and highly regulated environments. Day to day, practitioners preserve and analyse evidence, investigate active incidents, and guide clients through containment, eradication, and recovery while helping shape the emerging DFIR practice’s methodologies and standards.
Skills & Experience
The role requires deep forensic tradecraft and proven incident response experience across complex, regulated environments. Familiarity with adversary techniques, intrusion analysis, and evidence handling is essential. Experience working within national security, defence, government, or critical infrastructure contexts is strongly advantageous, as is the ability to lead engagements independently under operational pressure.
Who It Suits
This position suits a senior practitioner who takes pride in rigorous investigation work and thrives in high-stakes, fast-moving situations. Those who want to move beyond purely technical execution and contribute to building a practice from the ground up, defining how investigations are conducted and scaled, will find this role particularly compelling.
