The Role

Working within a DoD-focused cyber investigations team, the examiner conducts forensic analysis of computers, mobile devices and storage media. Daily responsibilities include digital evidence preservation, data recovery, password cracking, steganography detection, and the preparation of comprehensive written reports and documentation suitable for legal proceedings.

Skills & Experience

At least four years of hands-on digital forensics experience across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS is required. Proficiency with tools such as EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, Axiom, Cellebrite and Forensic Explorer is expected, along with experience analysing malware. Certifications such as EnCE, CFCE or CCE are preferred, and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance is mandatory.
