Principal Consultant, Incident Response (Weekend Schedule)

Palo Alto Networks

London, England

Remote · Lead/Principal · Full-time

The Role

This position centres on leading end-to-end incident response engagements for a range of clients, covering initial scoping, forensic investigation, containment, and long-term remediation guidance. It operates on a Friday-to-Monday schedule, ten hours per day, with Tuesday through Thursday as standard days off.

Skills & Experience

Candidates require demonstrable expertise in digital forensics and incident response, including hands-on experience scoping and managing complex security investigations. Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) is an essential requirement. Strong stakeholder communication and the ability to advise clients at a senior level are equally important.

Who It Suits

This role suits an experienced incident response professional who is comfortable leading client-facing engagements independently and thrives in high-pressure situations. The compressed weekend schedule makes it particularly well suited to someone who values extended mid-week time off alongside meaningful, technically demanding work.

Typical advertised salary for Incident Response roles in United Kingdom: £53,000–£85,000 (median £68,000 — from 24 recent listings analysed by Forensic Focus).
