Digital Forensic Technician

The Role

This position involves supporting a forensic laboratory through the full evidence lifecycle, from seizure and imaging at search locations to documentation, reporting, and court testimony. Day-to-day duties include maintaining chain of custody, performing tool validation, assisting with accreditation, and delivering organised case records to clients.

Skills & Experience

Candidates must hold a relevant bachelor’s degree alongside either a CompTIA A+ certification or a recognised industry digital forensics certification from an accredited body. Practical experience with forensic imaging tools, evidence preservation best practices, and the ability to produce clear, repeatable written reports are essential requirements.
